Is ReplicaMD another AI chat app?
No. ReplicaMD is a local-first desktop workspace for knowledge, planning, terminals, repositories, and persistent agent sessions. Chat can be part of Agent Mode, but it is not the product boundary.
Where do my notes and project context live?
Knowledge is designed around portable local files and explicit workspace state. The goal is to keep durable context inspectable outside the application rather than trapping it in hidden vendor state.
What does Open Vault do?
Open Vault always returns to the Vault overview. It does not restore the last note, Graph, Calendar, or previously open detail view.
Can Agent Mode use an active note?
Yes, when the selected runtime supports session instructions. Launching from Knowledge can pass scoped note and Vault context into the new session while the original note remains authoritative.
Does ReplicaMD replace Git?
No. It uses Git worktrees and branches directly so concurrent agent changes stay isolated, reviewable, and compatible with ordinary Git tooling.
Which AI runtimes are planned?
The architecture targets provider adapters for tools such as OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode, Ollama, and OpenRouter. Availability will be documented per release.
Will Calendar support remote synchronization?
The Calendar is being designed behind a provider-neutral repository and adapter boundary. Future remote sync can add secure authentication, conflict handling, and provider mapping without coupling those concerns to the UI.
Can I download ReplicaMD now?
Yes. ReplicaMD v2.0.2 is available for Linux as an AppImage, Debian/Ubuntu package, and Arch Linux package. Windows and macOS are not included in the current release.
